Tips & Hints page: added Basic Landing Techniques,
The author reminds us that engine throttle controls
descent,
and elevator controls airspeed. Plus adjusting
the length of the base leg compensates for different
wind
conditions.
Also added Great Circle Landing Techniques,
The author details how to overcome difficulties
with this method, which is most common, but
requires more pilot control coordination.

Announcement:
We just received the sad news that
Jack
Garrott passed away on Feb 12. Jack was
a long time club member, and architect
of our new flying field.
He designed and
supervised the construction of our flying
facilities. He was an excellent R/C flight
instructor and
had spent many years as
full scale aerobatic instructor after serv-
ing as a USN pilot and instructor in WII.
Our sympathy goes out to his wife Ann,
their 8 children, and their families.
